Credit card closing issue

Dear Team, I would like to clarify that there are no pending dues for the credit card ending with number XXXXXX46. On the other hand, the card ending with number XXXXXX18 only has a joining fee outstanding of Rs. 1796.52. Since I no longer use this card and haven’t made a single transaction, I kindly request the closure of this account. As per the RBI guidelines, if a cardholder hasn’t used the card and requests its closure, the joining fee should not be applicable, and there is no obligation to pay it. I am not willing to pay this amount. Please close this credit card account. Furthermore, I intend to escalate this matter to higher authorities and file a complaint with the bank or NBFC. Could you please provide the necessary details for filing a complaint? For your reference, please find the RBI guidlines : Joining Fee: The joining fee is typically charged when you first acquire the credit card. It covers administrative costs and initial benefits. However, if you haven’t used the card and are requesting its closure, the joining fee should not be applicable. You are not obligated to pay it. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
